The Greatest Invitation

My Father demanded difficult things of me, and I questioned my ability to do all that He asked.

I called to Him saying, “Father, I am not the one you seek to carry this burden. I am weak and unworthy of the task.”

And He replied,
“Would you refuse the greatest invitation made of a man?”

God has placed many wonders before us, along with the ability to discover them. We must do so, and in that discovery be reawakened. We must put our energies into His good work – into the creation of a better world for our future generations and ourselves.

In creation we move closer to Him. In discovery we are reminded that we do not yet understand all that is, and in realizing there is much we do not know our minds will open to the endless possibilities of life – a gift He implores us not to squander.

It is true that He asks much of us – much of you. It is difficult work. Find the strength to take up the task. He urges you to struggle for your own good and for that of all to follow.

Is it a fool who believes in that which cannot be seen and makes no sound – who struggles for a better future he may not survive to enjoy? Or is such a person a true child of God?

Be such a person.

In this life you are but a visitor.

The time has come to gather up

your tools and to do your good work.

God extends an invitation. Will you refuse it?

Can you refuse it?
